Hello. I have just left o2 after many, many years. In that time i have only had two phones, both bought upfront. my old phone, an iPhone Se from early 2018 is still working so i wanted to use it as a spare phone when i am out etc...I just assumed i could put a new sim from another network in, as i bought it upfront. but having done that it is saying the phone is locked and wont except the new sim.
i have done some reading regarding online forms but i cannot find a direct link to any, just lots of tutorials. i was going to ring the number given but being a paid call/premium i think it said, i wanted to see if there were any other ways first.
many thanks.

Guide here Guide: Unlocking an O2 phone to use a different SIM card
If the form no longer works, you can call
0344 809 0202
Not a premium rate call.
Or message them on Social Media. Facebook or Instagram https://www.o2.co.uk/abouto2/social-media

thank you so much for taking the time to reply. i have tried the link/forms and it doesnt seem to work. i couldn't find one earlier from my research, before posting here.
seems o2 stopped locking their phones a few months after i bought my phone...trust me!!!!!
as its a busy day or two ahead i have posted on their social media like you mentioned as there is no real rush. i just wanted to get the ball rolling now so i am glad you replied.
if i dont hear back over the weekend, or thereabouts i will try the phone number you posted.
thank you so much again and best wishes
