ims not registered samsung galaxy S7 edge

Recently had my screen replaced on Samsung galaxy s7 edge - I am having problems making and receiving calls at home (having previously had good phone signal etc).

My phone says "IMS status not registered" and that the mobile network state is "disconnected". My SIM card status keeps changing  from network unknown to saying it is registered on 02 UK. And saying out of service to in service....

I've tried taking the SIM card out and replacing it - this has made no difference.

Do I need a new SIM card or is there some other problem with the phone after the screen replacement (? antenna?)?

Thanks

Sarah

It certainly does indicate a faulty phone @SarahLED

but if it worked before the screen was replaced, whoever repaired it should be fixing it for free.

@SarahLED

It could be either issue.

I'd try a new sim first and if that doesn't fix it, go back to who repaired your screen.

Any O2 shop will replace your sim for free.

Thanks MI5. The repairers have replaced the screen twice and the problem remains so I'll try a new SIM next.

Well, I've tried a new SIM and the problem remains with the signal coming and going/ network connected then disconnected. Called O2 to check all settings are correct (they are). So I'm assuming there's something wrong with the phone connecting to the SIM ... Probably going to look for a new phone now rather than trying more repairs ....

Hi MI5 - yes you're right, they should fix it for free given it worked well before the screen was replaced. Wish me luck - they haven't replied to my email pointing this out a few days ago ... Thanks for your help.

Thanks again MI5. The repairers are trying one last time to fix it and have agreed to refund the repair costs if that doesn't work.
