My phone keeps sending me messages saying that it is infected or that it is damaged. Can anyone suggest what to do please?

It sounds like an app that you have recently downloaded

Many come with intrusive messages and adverts

You could try downloading an antivirus app and running a scan

Worst case scenario is that you may have to factory reset to get rid of it

An app caled malwarebytes will sort it for you.
