I will put this as I received it as a voice mail notification, not an actual voice mail.  Please advise weather it is a scam or otherwise.

1. Voice mail notification in messages -> Taped it.

2. Voice mails opens with the, "create"or "update" contact screen. (with the 901, phone symbol and text symbols in an oblong box).

3. I tap on the 901and receive the following message.

"Your pin is set to default, to keep your mail secure, you must enter a new 4 - 10 digit Pin Code followed by the hash key".

(the screen with the pop up dial pad also appears at the same time) I used to have to dial the 901 before getting the voice mail.

If this is refering to my pin code to gain entry to my phone, I am confused as I use the code I made up when I first bought it.  I have never yet had to use a pin code for emails.

Needless to say I just ignored it and deleted them I actualy received 5 in the space of 2 minutes!

I am annoyed that there is no specific place on O2 web site other than community/Gurus to highlight such concerns.

@Cockers

Its a pin for your voicemail not email.
901 is correct so not a scam.

@Cockers You don't have a Xperia phone by any chance do you? That sounds like normally something that happens on them.
