I have a notification on my phone (Virgin Samsung Galaxy) indicating a new voicemail message and the number ********177. When I dial this, it says this number has been barred and I cannot be connected. I've tried ringing Customer Services and they could not help probably because I couldn't understand what they were saying. I cannot get rid of this notification on my phone which keeps updating every day, yet I can't get into my voicemail messages. In fact, I haven't a clue what the new number is. I've tried pressing '1' and I get the same 'cannot connect' message. I've tried 222 and get the same message. Why is there nothing on this website to advise what to do, as I can't be the only one?
[mod edit: we've removed a suspicious looking number as a precaution. Thanks 🙂]

Try sending yourself a voicemail, listen to it then delete.
222 is the old Virgin Voicemail number.
