Hi, I have been given a code my O2, which is apparently meant to unlock my Samsung J3 phone. The "code" is 8 digits long, however, there were no instructions sent with the code, and the code was provided by an automated voice on the O2 phone line. What do I do with this 8 digit code, to actually unlock my handset? I am transferring my old sim (which is remaining an O2 sim) into a new phone, however, I need help unlocking my old handset. So, what exactly am I supposed to do with this 8 digit code from O2 to unlock the J3 handset?

Sorry if I rambled, really appreciate your help, thanks in advance!

The code you have is a PUK not an unlock code.

That will not unlock your phone.

You need to get the unlock code via your MyO2 as above then insert a non O2 sim and the phone will ask for an unlock code to be entered.

If the phone is not locked it will just accept the non O2 sim and nothing more needs to be done, so check it first if you can with another sim card.
