I am finding the London Underground Wi-Fi never auto connects on my phone, and when I go into settings Wi-Fi extra asks for a username and password. Is this the same as for my O2 account? It doesn’t seem to work. Help much appreciated.

It's no longer available in many places and is being replaced by 4g coverage.
You can try this though as it might work, but no promises.
1. Open WiFi settings
2. Click Add network
3. Set network name/SSID: Wifi Extra
4. Set security: WPA/WPA2/WPA3-ENTERPRISE
5. Choose EAP method: Sim
6. Click Save

Thank you, I will try that. Though I don’t know if I have EAP as an option…

This is a useful article as customers often conflate mobile coverage and station wi-fi, which are actually two different services :-

It may not even be available if Virgin have withdrawn the service @Gah1
