I knew my 4g speeds weren't that great, put it down to the area i live in.
But i grabbed a Lebara(Vodafone) sim and decided to activate it today, to do some speed tests on a different network.
Well, i chose 4 spots i regularly walk past daily decided to check the 4g data coverage and was shocked at the speed difference.
Using SpeedTest.net on Chrome, on my Pixel 6 i got speeds of 1mb, 3mb, 4mb and 3mb.
Using the Lebara(vodafone) sim, same device, tested in the exact same spots i got 9mb, 6mb, 13mb and 11mb.
These speeds i am getting from my o2 sim are simply embarrassing, i have a 250gb a month sim only contract as well but gods knows why.
So checking my o2 account, it says my contract ended 5th May 2022. But i changed my tariff on 3rd June to the 250gb one.
When i changed tariff did i sign up for another 12 month contract? My account doesn't say i have but is it a glitch?
I see no point staying on an inferior network in my area so i am seriously thinking of cancelling my o2 sim.
Will check the speeds i get in work on tuesday which is about 5 miles away to see the speed differences there.

Different network infrastructures, different network , different power outputs from the mast. Always worth checking everywhere you need it to work.
I would speak to customer services, as they will give you the definitive answer in your contract expiry and if you want to cancel how much your termination fees will be..
Also have a look on uswitch as there are some awesome deals on Lebara
