No youtube on mobile data (not a YouTube setting issue)

Patchy data for o2 in Aberdeen, can’t play YouTube videos, have to airplane on and off to get internet some times. Worsening experience. 3G, 4g and 5g highly inconsistent but yet good signal and no issues on the website. Constant spinning wheel on YouTube. Downloaded YouTube videos play fine, but not streamed. 

 

any others not able to stream YouTube on mobile data and or having patchy speeds?

 

is o2 selectively blocking it?

You're the third person today with a YouTube issue.

Blocking is probably a good theory to preserve data traffic in busy / marginal areas.
