Can you swap your sim card abroad? I am currently in Jersey for a few months. I have swapped my old O2 sim card for a new nano O2 sim card sent to me into my new phone trying to keep my same number. However, the new phone will not join any network so is unable to send the text to switch sim cards.

Sometimes it will work but you need to start the process from your old sim card
