Samsung keyboard keeps stopping

My phone, Samsung SM-J330FN, keeps saying "Samsung keyboard keeps stopping". I can receive texts but cannot send them as I cannot access the keyboard. Can this be corrected or do I need a new phone?

Go to settings > apps and find the Samsung keyboard app.

Open it and clear cache and uninstall updates, then reboot phone.
