PAC code- how long until old number transfers across?

Hello

Have just received my new O2 phone a couple hours ago. Entered the PAC code EE gave me when I signed up to O2 so I could transfer my old number over. But my O2 account is showing a new number. How long does it take for my old number to move over? 

Do I need to do anything further?

It normal takes 48 hours and you should receive a text telling you when the number will be ported
