Hello, I have had an o2 account fraudulently opened in my girlfriends name. None of us are an o2 customer, we reported the fraud to o2 and also to fraudpolice, I got told that an outcome would be determined and they would email me within 10 days. I never got the email, and we are still getting default sum notice letters. they are now passing the "debt" onto debt collection agency. I need to get these letters stopped, and have the default notice on my girlfriends credit file removed without any difficulty. o2 are at fault here, they should never have let someone open an account without doing checks to make sure its a legitimate person.

You've done all you can. You just need to keep chasing up with O2.
If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this.

is there a solution through this forum? I don't use facebook, or twitter.

@non_ya_binnes There is no solution here. This is a customer community. You need to report this to the police:

I assume when you say "fraud police" that you've already reported it to action fraud.
Not that they will intervene with O2 in anyway.
As I said before, you need to keep chasing O2.
If you don't use social media, you'll need to call.
Numbers here Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support
When it comes to the reason you are calling stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say "Upgrade", "Lost/Stolen" or "Fraud" if you have to, to get put through to someone.
8.00am is the best time to call if you can.
