It could be your phone, the sim or a network issue in your local area

You can check the network status by putting your postcode here https://status.o2.co.uk

Have you tried putting the sim in a different phone and seeing if the issue is still there..

It might also be worth getting a replacement sim from your local o2 store, take Photo ID and they can do a sim swap there and then.

Also worth worth trying another sim in your phone

Also look at these guides

Guide: How can I sort out my network issues?

This is not customer services and we dont have access to your account
I do not work for o2 or any VMo2 /Telefonica/Liberty Global Company

You might also want to look at :-

Understand your network coverage

With the My Network app you can keep an eye on your coverage, wherever you are. Download the app and you’ll be able to:

- check the status of our network in your area – you don’t even need to enter your postcode

- test your network speeds

- report any issues with your service.

It’s simple to use and means that you can check the network without having to visit the main site or even enter a postcode.
