My O2 account has been scammed/hacked

I have informed O2 on several occasions that my account details have been altered and a Apple I phone was ordered without my knowledge.

My details have been taken and I have had to purchase more data as mine was stolen. It is going to take the fraud team approx 10 working days to contact me.

Yesterday I tried to use my phone but who ever is now secretly running my account has prevented me from using the O2 network and I can only make emergency calls.

Can you please try to rectify this mess and allow me to use the service that I have paid for.

Regards

Robert Woodward

No one here can help unfortunately.

You need to let O2 deal with it but I would also inform your bank and action fraud.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

You need to contact customer services on 0344 809 0202, and go through the Security Checks etc, and setup a new passphrase on the account if you are able to.

I would ensure all your passwords are changed, and you keep an eye on your credit report for any other credit that is taken out in your name.  Also notify your bank and CC card companies that you have been a vicitim of Identity theft.

I would also log with Action Fraud https://actionfraud.police.uk and get a reference number.

o2's fraud team can take a while whilst they do their investigations and liaise with the likes of action fraud.
