Purchased a new Samsung yesterday at O2 in Westwood Cross. Fairly efficient service ... but I was nit told that all my Whats App data would be lost unless I had backed it up. So I have now lost everything, and feel the O2 should have warned me in advance ... as a mature female, I count as a techno dinosaur!

Unfortunately it's impossible for an employees to remind a customer of everything.

If you still have your old phone, replace the sim and go to your WhatsApp settings and perform a back up.

Then put your sim back in your new phone and restore from the back up which is prompted when you login to WhatsApp.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.
