Message to reinstall SIM card

Since moving to O2 I have had to take the card out and put back in.  Never had this before.  This morning my phone wasn’t working until I repeated this. Can anyone help?

Strange.

Possible that you need to try a new SIM card 

You can contact O2 or get an immediate replacement at an O2 store if you take photo ID
