Keep Getting Txt msg Failure

 Keep getting text message failure when I send a text message. It all started as soon after I changed my original number to a new number. Also when I dial out my previous phone number is still showing up on caller ID. Is there any chance of resolving this issue?

Have you updated your number in Settings >Phone >My Number and also in iCloud?

I haven't updated my number in phone settings or iCloud. I will do that now and see if it changes the way my text messages are sent out.🙂

Went into settings phone number etc. Tried to delete old number. A dialogue box displayed saying "Switch off iMessage and Facetime before deleting number. Which I did. However, when I went back to delete the number. The same dialogue box displayed instructing me to do the thing that I'd already done.
