I am trying to get imessage to work on my new phone, it will only connect to my apple ID, it wont connect to my phone number it just says waiting activation

This comes up on all of the networks forums, especially when porting in numbers.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Resetting your network settings usually sorts it out.

I had the exact same issue , o2 told me it was the phone and to get in touch with Apple !! I put another sim (Vodafone) in the handset and it worked fine ?? I then swapped back to the o2 sim and it’s now working fine ,, might be worth a try if u have access to another sim ?
