Hi,
When I call my landline from my O2 mobile, it shows my number as 'external call' half the time, and the other half of the time it does show my number.
I want my number to always show when I call people. I use iphone and I have it set to 'Show Caller ID'.
How can I 'force' always showing my caller ID, what is the code to do this? I know that the reverse code to hide caller ID is 141.
Thanks!

Used to be 1470 from landlines. Don't know if it works with mobiles

Thanks.
Just tried it but unfortunately it didn't work.
Any other suggestions?

Not really. As I say they are old landline numbers
I think there is a problem somewhere.
Is it just the one phone where this happens or multiple. If one it could be a problem with the receiving network. If multiple it's more likely the phone or O2

I'm investigating at the moment.
It's either my mobile/O2, or the landline operator, or the hardware, I guess.
It would be helpful if anyone else could tell me if there is a code for my mobile to force it to show my Caller ID. Would be very helpful for testing as well.
I can't get through to O2 to ask any questions - livechat is always down even though it says 8am-8pm, and I tried calling but was put on hold for 30 minutes so could not wait any longer.

If you use social media
Message O2 on
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB)
Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you.

@Purple456 See if anything in this link helps: https://discussions.apple.com/thread/254737095

Thank you. I am not on social media.
It would be really nice to have an email address to contact O2 for customer support, or a working live chat.
Or when I call the O2 customer service telephone line, if there could be a ring back facility.

Thanks Bambino. The problem isn't with my iphone. That link just tells you how to switch on 'show caller ID' on your iphone, which I said in my 1st post is on all the time.
I'll have to keep on investigating.
But in the meantime, if anyone knows if there's a code I can dial from my mobile to force caller ID to always show, like 1470 for landlines, that would be great. I read online that mobile networks do have this.

@Purple456 Entering 141 before you make a call will block your number. I don't believe there is a code to always show it. You'll need to speak to customer service and ask.
Call 202 from your mobile or 0344 809 0202, 0800 902 0217 or 0800 032 1402
When it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.
Press 2 for Everything Else
Press 5 for More Options
Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.
Say 'Upgrade', 'Lost/Stolen', or 'Fraud' if the suggestion above doesn't get you through.
Best time to call is 8 am.
