Since being moved from Virgin to O2 I have not been receiving text messages I am on e SIM, I have to swap back to my Virgin e SIM to receive texts, but on that SIM I can't make or receive calls. This is driving me nuts, I cannot believe that you are forced to join another company and one or the other can't get their act together to make it happen.
I phoned CS who to be frank are useless, the chap didn't have a clue what to do, blamed it on a transmitter outage, even though I told him I have been on a journey into another county!

We used to have some very helpful o2 advisors working on the community @ColinBwood including Emma.
Unfortunately this is no longer the case:
https://community.o2.co.uk/t5/Welcome-News/O2-Support-advisor-update/m-p/1634920#M40122
That means that you have to persist with customer services on the phone or via social media.
Best time to call is just after 8am.
Call them on 202 or 0344 809 0202 if you were pay monthly, or 4445 or 0344 809 222 if PAYG (or use 0800 032 1402 if you have no other line, and you can use Skype for free - Guide: A Guide to Skype ).
Alternatively you can message on social media:
Facebook ( https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter ( https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram ( https://o2uk.co/O2CIG)
Please note, this is not customer services and we cannot access your account. Do not publish personal details (email, phone number, bank account).
Link to our guide on how to contact them can be found here

Hi, Did you get a solution and are able to post? O2 tech support no longer runs though the community and I don't fancy another 1 waiting on support calls. Thankd

The only help I got was through tech support on O2 Community, the call centre are as much use as a handbrake on a canoe. I believe I made seven phone calls in total with various issues for me and my wife who had the same problem with Texts on one SIM and calls landing on the other. The call centre just stab in the dark and seem to have a script of possible simple solutions mostly giving the impression nothing is wrong at their end. On three occasions they were more interested in trying to sell me a new contract for a system that wasn't working. After a week and getting help via DM on here the problem was almost solved, though my Wifi Calling was then not provisioned the call centre's only solution was to suggest that a mast was down in my area. I thought that's what Wifi calling was there for!
Once again the solution was help through tech support on O2 Community, my only reason for staying with O2 is the great deal I am getting which I will hold on to, any need to contact the customer support centre in future will likely mean I leave, I cannot believe that a company like this can be so bad at supporting its customers, and then remove the only people that can actually fix things for you. I am not impressed so far, and cannot recommend O2 at all.
