Calling non-UK numbers

 I am no able to call non-UK numbers from my iPhone 15 - the problem was also there with my previous iPhone.

Check in My O2 to see if you have a zero spend cap and adjust as necessary

You may also need to check there is no international bar with customer service

@Mal24 If you download WhatsApp and use it over a WiFi connection you can call, text, or video call anyone anywhere in the world who also uses the app for free.

I have a £20 spend cap in place which I guess would be sufficient

Thanks Johnsie - I have a £20 spend cap already - I've raised a ticked with O2 to get this resolved as they couldn't do it over the phone. My partners phone on the same account has the same settings but can call international numbers fine.

I can only think there is an international bar either on your account or in the phone settings

£20 is more than enough to allow international dialling as you assume
