I broke my Apple Watch Ultra and has this replaced by AppleCare. I’ve tried to setup mobile data on the new replacement watch, have followed the steps to login to o2 and select transfer existing airtime plan. However, I get an error saying to call o2 and quote reference code 26.
I tried this, but gave up after 40 mins and speaking to multiple advisors. They didn’t seem to understand what was going on and instead were suggesting cancelling the current watch plan and setting up a brand new one.
Can someone help?

I came from EE and have been attempting to add a watch plan for months without success. I spoke to 202 today and asked to raise a formal complaint. They then guided me to where I think you are at. Two ESIMs on the phone but nothing seemingly going through to the watch and error code 26. I got the Ultra 2 yesterday so equally annoyed. No one seems to know anything or can give clear guidance on how to set up an Apple Watch plan.

Having the same issue, going to brave it again and spend the rest of today on the phone lines, I refuse to have to wait for a non reply via social channels

The beauty of using the X Direct Message option is you can nudge them until you get engagement ... The phone support is heavily scripted to standard tasks such as Stolen device reporting or Selling new contracts, @Dexstrus
This is explained in the Activate Apple Watch Guide, where you are directed to Social Media for most of the error codes. Good luck!

I had this today. Called 202 and said I got a code 26 whilst setting up new Apple Watch Series 10 (from Series 6). They said I needed to have a new esim. Said my phone and watch would go off - it did and then about 10 mins later received an esim on the My O2 app. Before installing, you have to delete any esim of your phone and remove the mobile plan from your old watch first. Then go through setting up esim on the phone. Once done, then pair your new watch and follow the process. Worked for me and back up and running. They also said it can take 24 hours to get esim but litterally got mine in less than an hour.

That sounds like an excellent result @Jaseyb257. 👍
