Does anybody think they can get a straight answer from O2? To date in the last week I’ve been put through to 13 different people five different departments I visited three O2 stores anmd over 5 hours on the phone to 02. Plus over an hour on chat and got no where! and I still can’t get the problem sorted. I purchased six Apple watches from Apple series 10 and the ultra two I went to the O2 store previously to check  the data and not a problem once I’ve got the watches Got the watches and it’s just unbelievable. I’ve taped all the conversations that all been recorded  and all I been getting from O2 is telling me I have to buy another line I’ve got to use a data that’s on my phone which is ridiculous. You need the data for the smart watch to cut a long story short I ended up taking all 6 back to Apple. And then went to another 02cStore yesterday who guaranteed me 100% if I get the watches I can get the data plan  going in the store. So today I purchased another two Apple watches went into the store and they just couldn’t do it. I couldn’t the data on the watches  you just pressed it on the watch and it doesn’t do it with the series 10 and it doesn’t do with the ultra two just couldn’t do anything.even the 02cStore manager called  Customer Service their self and even they were shocked because they was even telling them that you can’t have a data to plan and saying that you’ve got to buy the product from O2, this is ridiculous. Can anyone help as 8 Apple Watches and cannot connect to 02 and I have been with on for 24 years

@Kev975

There is a limit on how many watches you can connect to your account, witch is 3 and only one can be active at a time, so you maybe hitting this limit..

So each Apple Watch will need to have an iPhone assigned to it really

It can all be done in App, I got my AW Ultra 2 form Amazon, and it took 2 minutes in the app to get it setup, and when it went back to Apple it took 2 minutes to restore...

Does anyone know about the O2 data plan? I purchased a planfor my new Apple Watch Ultra 2  so I can switch my phone off go uptown even drive to Scotland and make and receive phone calls on my watch. but I can’t get texts which I can’t understand because the whole Idea of a smart watch, you don’t have to use your phone when I’ve called O2 they say no you can’t get Txt. It’s only data for phones I’m totally baffled. I thought the whole idea of a smart watch is. You did not need your phone so to take any taxis on my smart watch it means I have to take my phone everywhere I go ???

@Kev975

Are you referring to iMessage or sms?

iMessage uses data so you should receive those OK.

For sms your iPhone will need to be turned on and connected to a network.

Hi

i am referring to sms. My understanding was you can leave your phone at home and still get sms when your out. But it seems that is not the case which seems pointless if you have to take your phone with you with your smartwatch  just to get txt

Just needs to be turned on and connected, not with you if working correctly.

Thanks, but does not work with O2. They have made it clear The data plan for phone calls only. I can leave my phone on at home it doesn’t matter if it’s connected to Wi-Fi or Bluetooth because when I get out of distance with my watch It then goes onto the data plan 4G whatever you call it and it won’t receive or send text because their data plan  is only for phone calls

Hi, I thought that might be but no it’s not the case. I brought six watches from Apple and none of them would work with O2. We found out O2 only work if our shade direct from them so They went back to apple. I purchased them from O2 as explained they completely set up Apple spent three hours going everything And they’re saying the same is the data plan. The data plan will not accept text  and when I’ve contacted O2, it says their data plan unlimited and 0 text. As soon as you get out of range of your phone then the data plan coming into effect but it’s only for phone calls you can’t do text . I’ve had this two hours on the phone with O2 and they say no we don’t do taxes. It is solely a data plan for the phone?
