I have had a reoccurring issue with message:
4g calls turned off- o2 has turned off 4g calls
my phone is unusable.
The fixes suggested elsewhere of restart phone do not help
i had a sim swap in o2 store. That fixed the problem for around 12 hours.
How do i resolve this please?

Sounds like Volte (Voice over 4G) is triggering in and out and not the loss of 4G itself. If that is the case the phone would still make and receive calls over 3G / 2G
Does this only happen in one area or is it universal?

Unfortunately it happens everywhere i have been over the last 48 hours so it appears to be a broader o2 issue.
2g and 3 g calling is not possible. there is no signal shown on the signal strength indicator However, I can still make and receive sms and email. It is only calls impacted.
This may or may not be relevant. Wifi calling and personal hotspot are disabled and i cannot re-enable. These services are both live on my phone according to my o2 account
I will message o2 directly.
