had my phone 10 days, got it on 1st Nov, first direct debit coming out 17th November, thought it was to be monthly, shouldnt first DD be 1st Dec. thanks

your first bill is produced a few days after joining as you pay a month in advance payment taken 14 days later which is what you are seeing.
Also it may be a fraction higher than normal due to the few days taken to create the bill.

You always pay a month in advance so your first bill is produced after a couple of days. Payment is always 14 days after the billing date and your first bill will be slightly higher than your normal monthly tariff.
ie. You pay the first few days until the bill is produced plus your normal monthly tariff. This is all sorted when you come to the end of your contract as you have paid monthly in advance.

You shouldn't unless one is for the price of the handset to CPW and the other is for the contract with O2. If this isn't the case query it with customer service.
