Hi.
I am using a UK SIM in Spain. Some Spanish numbers I try to call don't connect and I get the spoken message: "the number you have dialled has not yet been assigned".
I have dialled the numbers with and without the international dialling code.
How do I fix this?
Thanks

You can try manually selecting a different roaming network to see if it helps, but if you have been out of the UK for more than 63 days in a 4 moth period, O2 may apply restrictions to your calling and data.
If you use our services outside the UK in our Europe Zone for 63 or more days in any four month period and you cannot demonstrate prevailing use and / or presence in the UK this is likely to be deemed to be an unfair use of our services.

I'm stuck in Spain with pandemic and health complications. A number failed with the same message a few weeks ago, but I can get through to it today. It seems a bit random.

Pretty sure it's landline, mobiles start with 6, but as stated in earlier comment: I'm stuck in Spain with pandemic and health complications. A number failed with the same message a few weeks ago, but I can get through to it today. It seems a bit random.

If its a landline it sounds like a fault with the network you are roaming on.
Have you tried switching to another network?
