Got a few quick questions that im hoping someone can help with, as ive been on hold for well over an hour, and being bounced around departments repeatedly

1)the contract is over 2 years old, and ive been told after 2 years i can cancel my airtime plan, and continue paying off the rest of my device plan only (approx £400) which im more than happy to keep doing, is this correct? And if so ive been told i "must call and get my device and airtime seperated before doing anything" ?

2) Ive already text PAC to 65075 and gotten my code is there anything stopping a relative using this PAC code when signing up with another network so that they can keep this current number?  (which would obviously end my airtime plan which is what I want)

Hi @Steggy86

Welcome to the o2 Community forum

If you end your airtime you will need to pay off your device completely and immediately

Hello thanks for your reply, this is whats quite confusing, two live chat agents this morning confirmed that because its been over 24months since my contract started, i could end my airtime plan and continue paying the device plan remainder monthly, then this morning on an 202 call 2 departments confirmed the above, but when passed to the 3rd she said it would need to be paid in full as you suggested, until she put me on hold for 15minutes, came back and said after talking to someone else that infact I could pay off the remainder monthly after cancelling my Airtime.

Super confusing trying to get a confirmed answer, especially when being bounced around departments for nearly 2hours

You should be able to cancel the airtime element after 2 years. If that were not the case O2 would effectively be holding you to a 3 year contract which is not allowed under OFCOM rules

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

@Steggy86

You need to have taken the original contract after December 17th 2021.

For customers who took out an O2 Refresh contract before 17 December 2021
If you cancel your Airtime Plan and there's an outstanding amount left on your Device Plan, you must pay this in full when you end your contract.

For customers who took out an O2 Refresh contract on or after 17 December 2021
If you decide to end your Airtime Plan within the first 24 months of the Device Plan, you’ll need to pay off your Device Plan in full when you end your contract.

If you're cancelling after 24 months but still within the minimum term of your Device Plan, your Airtime and Device Plans are unlinked. This means you can either; (i) continue paying for your Device Plan in instalments, or (ii) pay off your Device Plan in full.
