I have recently smashed my watch, thankfully covered by Apple care who have sent me a new watch out. However, I am trying to enable mobile data on it ( bascially transfering the data plan form my old watch).

Here is the problem when updating the wtach via the iphone I get opps something went wrong from O2 please contact us quoting reference code 4 or "sorry the network connection was reset" - I'm on a 350Mbps pipe here so I think the last error message is spurious.

So I have tried access to resolve my problem by using my O2 which is worse than useless for this issue and calling O2 (202) on the phone and after a plethora of options the automated system just hangs up on me... Can someone else suggest a solution (including changing networks if that would help) - I really need the watch with the mobile data as I have Graves' Disease and do not like to carry my phone with me when I am cyclicing.

@Alipali

It is because O2 need to remove your old watch from your account first.

The best number to call on appears to be 0800 587 4005

@VictoriaEliza

Have you already got an older Apple Watch previously attached to your account?
