pin number

Not applicable

I have just purchased a new Nokia Lumia 610 from you and earlier this week started a new contract. I am trying to bluetooth link my phone to my car and it is asking for my pin number.

Could you please advise me as to where to find this or can you advise my via this forum. Is the number allocated to the phone or via the sim?

Usually it's just asking you to create a pin, I always use 0000 which has always worked for me.

Alternatively it will be the pin of the device you are trying to connect with, which should be in the instructions supplied with it.

My car displays a number on the display and asks me to enter it into the phone to pair, or one some different phones it will push a number to the phone and ask for a confirmation that the code matches. If no codes are displayed just enter any 4 digits but you'll have to put it into both devices so use 0000 or 1234 so you can remember it.

It's 1234 for my car kit. Read through your manual and it should say in there, or it'll say in the settings of that device.
