Many people Camel the direct debit and opt to pay online or over the phone. Such is human nature they think paying a couple of days late is ok and are shocked when they find the phone cut off. Reconnection fees incurred as well as late payments on their credit file. If you have a direct debit I recommend leaving it but ultimately the choice is yours.
