bought new apple SE and pay monthly contract with intent of moving payg number to new contract. Completed form on line to make request (twice) and followed instructions and nothing has happened and can't reach anyone at O2. Now 7 weeks since purchased new phone. Do not want to continue with payg but want to keep old number. Any ideas?

@NigelB29

Try calling customer service on any of these numbers Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

The one ending in 4005 is best.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.
Please select the post that helped you best and mark as the solution. This helps other members in resolving their issues faster. Thank you.

If not you need to contact O2. All numbers are in this guide Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

The best number to call currently is 0800 587 4005
