O2 do sometimes transfer the credit on proviso that the sim you are transferring from is closed down and reclaimed by o2. Call 4445 to request.

It depends if the credit was used to purchase allowances or not but you can always upgrade to a contract and transfer any PAYG credit to the new contract account.
