hi, i  dont seem to receiving texts from people. its a brand new phone, number ported over earlier on today, i have made sure iMessage is turned off on the phone and iPad, also ensured its only my number that's selected on receiving and sending messages, and have received calls from said friend on my phone, but still no texts coming through from then or anyone else that isn't on iPhone. I have only received texts from o2. It's an iPhone XR.

I know years ago you could used to contact the network provider and get the message settings sent through, but i dont find anything anywhere relating to this. can anyone shed light on this? im going to be contacting o2 tomorrow but so far this is not a good start......... perserving

Just keep rebooting to pull the settings through to your phone.

Texts are the last thing to work after a number port.
