Hi there,

I recently had a very long telephone call and exceeded my monthly limit, which is a very low cost as I live in Spain and rarely telephone UK, except when I come home.

I need to have an arrangement to have a few long phone calls - like 2-3 hours at a time, at a reasonable price without going over my limit. What is the best way to do this, please?

There are no bolt ons that O2 have for this.

All you can do is change your contract to give you unlimited mins but you will still be bound by the fair use T&C's as posted above.

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

I'd suggest using WhatsApp over wifi which would be free.

The recipient also needs to have WhatsApp installed.

Using your UK sim in Spain for prolonged periods will incur even more additional charges as use is limited.

Use Skype or as suggested WhatsApp, as o2 wont give you anything to allow this...

- Xperia 1V - o2 and Spusu
- Pixel 8 Pro - o2 and Vodafone UK

I am trying to phone a special bank department which doesn't have WhatsApp. I need a bolt on or a temporary contract so phone this number.
