its been nearlky 2 weeks since i was conned into purchasing a new p a y g phone.

i will explain:

i topped up on my old phone then when i went to use it i had a mono tone on calls & i couldnt text out.

 

i rang customer service & i asked what was wrong they said there was nothing wrong with my sim as £10 had been credited. they advised me to get a new phone i did.

 

on arrival i had the same mono tone on the new phone

 

i rang again they now stated i was barred & the FRAUD team would contact me! no reason was given why. they havnt contacted me and i have used land line numbers to contact customer{joke} services costing more money. 

 

my business has suffered as my customers no my number but no means of contact

 

if o2 read this read on legal action is on it's way 

 

you better contact me 

 

any1 else suffered in this  way i need help to sort these problems out

@Anonymous O2 do not read this forum, it is a customer to customer forum.

Not sure why CS advised you to buy a new phone, the issue you are experiencing sounds like a SIM card issue (blocked or otherwise) the first port of call would have been for CS to send you a new SIM card.

The only way a PAYG sim would be barred legitimately is if you had abused the T&C's.
If done in error, the fraud team will reinstate the sim, but they usually take at least 2 weeks to complete their investigations.
I'm also a little surprised that you are trying to run a business on a PAYG sim card - surely a business account would be more beneficial ?

It's a P&G sim. There would have to be some reason the fraud team are involved which normally alludes to top ups or using the sim as a gateway for cheap calls.

Maybe it's best to just cut your loss and pick up a new sim for 99p from a supermarket. Running a business on payand go is not really advisable.

You sure they didn't advice to "try" a different phone rather than "buy".
