@JudUnfortunately phones do go out of stock by the time the order has gone through the credit and security checks.
As this involves a Consumer Credit Agreement then i'm afraid the only way to do it is to cancel and start again.
I don't what you expect o2 to do, to get a device that is out of stock to your daughter.
If this is your daughters first contract with o2? As if it is, then it has to be delivered to the address registered with o2 at time of signup.
I will tag one of the o2 team to see if they can help, but i wouldn't hold much hope that anything can be done in this situation.
