black friday deals and out of stock

My daughter took advantage of the black friday deals and ordered a phone which was listed as in stock but due to university commitments asked for it to be delivered today (Friday). She was advised by email yesterday that the phone was now mysteriously out of stock and therefore would not be delivered today. As a student with exams next week, she has already had to ignore the Government's directive to head home, and is due to return home next Friday. Come on O2, let's get the act together and sort out my tearful daughter. Surely there is a deal to be done in the interest of good customer relations and someone can set up the deal again , as the customer service advisor told her the only way around this was to cancel the order and start again, but no deal from black friday. This is not my daughter's fault. She ordered when the phone WAS in stock

@Jud

Unfortunately phones do go out of stock by the time the order has gone through the credit and security checks.

As this involves a Consumer Credit Agreement then i'm afraid the only way to do it is to cancel and start again.

I don't what you expect o2 to do, to get a device that is out of stock to your daughter.

If this is your daughters first contract with o2? As if it is, then it has to be delivered to the address registered with o2 at time of signup.

I will tag one of the o2 team to see if they can help, but i wouldn't hold much hope that anything can be done in this situation.

@O2Lisa @O2Georgina is there anything that can be done in this situation??

She and I have a long history with O2, but it's clear that you should always visit a store where the service locally is top notch! Same can't be said here
