Wifi calling

Hi
I’ve just moved over to O2 and want to set Wifi calling up - I’ve checked my phone supports it (it does - iPhone XR) and know how to turn it on on my phone, but it’s then coming up ‘to allow Wifi calling on this account contact O2’.
Have followed every instruction online and it just keeps showing me how to set it up on the phone but not how to add it to my account! All the agents are busy and I can’t get through on chat or phone.
Any suggestions?!

To be honest I’m just glad to be away from EE…but we live in a village in a dip and signal isn’t great even with O2 so wifi calling really would help…

Thanks

@DeborahR

We’re just customers like you but it sounds like you’ll need someone to access your account which can’t be done from here. If you message O2 on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you with this

Thanks

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)

One thing I didn't see mentioned is enabling it from MyO2:

- Go to MyO2

- Navigate to "More" --> "Wifi and 4G Calling" along the top bar (as shown below)

From here it should either confirm Wifi calling is enabled, or give you the option to enable it normally!

I have exactly same issue. With More>WiFi Calling in my O2 when logged in, it just takes me to help pages with videos on how to set up on iPhone, which I already know. I just can’t get to set it in My O2 as per guidance. Any answers?

Same issue for me, clicking the wifi and 4g calling just takes me to the help pages, which the directs me to the "device settings" on my 02 that is not existing. Online chat thing says no agents available and calling the helpdesk number results in "thank you for calling 02. Goodbye". So frustrating, I've just switched and seriously thinking of cancelling my contract (still within the 14 days)

Having exactly the same problem. When googling the issue the answer seems to be ring customer services on 202 and have them enable wifi calling on your account for you. But today customer services are now only accepting calls relating to fraud or urgent payment issues. Yesterday I could get through to a queue but would get cut off after about ten minutes.

Only been with o2 for a few days, I've got very poor 4G/LTE signal due to a fault with the local mast which has not been fixed, and I can't enable wi-fi calling or talk to anyone at customer services.

and there's no excuse not to take calls by O2. Plenty of other companies are trying to operate after lockdown again. Just use the option for urgent, its urgent to you as the customer and hardly emergency services.

I have a Xiaomi 10T Lite. Works fine with wifi callinf and voLTE on other major networks (not MVNO), and O2 did for a while support it when I tried a business SIM.

Now, both dont work on personal or Business SIM. Its Android 11 this stuff should just work not when O2 decide to tick a supported models box because they want you to buy a device from them.
