I'm currently using Whatsapp for international calls for work and have masses of data allowance each month. However, i'm seeing bills on my account each month for these international calls. Can anyone explain why this might be happening? Thank you

Hi JusNewuqay,
WhatsApp essentially uses Voip to make calls, When you use the app to make calls, it uses an Internet connection. But when the connection is really slow, the app automatically switches to “airtime minutes”. The only way to avoid this from happening is to put your phone in Airplane mode, turn on WiFI and then make the call. If you have international charges from using WhatsApp and only WhatsApp to make international calls then this would be the reason.
