How does one get a valid VAT invoice? The bills we get states "This is not a VAT invoice" and it is not as no VAT registration number is shown.

Time was when you could get this enabled on your MyO2 account - but not, apparently, for accounts started in the last 6 or so years.

If you reach out to O2 Social Media team, links below, they may be able to help provide a month or two's bills as VAT bills for AirTime only.

O2 state:

We don’t issue a VAT invoice on the device plans every month, the Refresh agreement is a credit agreement and unless it’s a business account we are not obliged to produce monthly VAT invoices. Customer services can complete a form to send out a device plan VAT invoice for a specific month but this needs to be requested by the customer each time they need it and will be sent via post.

A regular VAT invoice can be turned on by calling customer services for the airtime only, once the service is on the account the customer should then get the VAT invoice sent to them via post monthly.

Note that O2 charge for paper invoices.

If you are lucky, O2 will be able to switch the feature on in MyO2 and all bills after that will show the required VAT info to qualify as VAT Invoices.

Good luck!
