I got a new contract with o2 £32 a month my first bill came in at £36.19 because of VAT. I was under the impression this was included in the bill. I read that the first bill is always higher so i was going to leave it for now.
Here's the thing, I received an email about price increase today. It says current contract £36 and with the new increase it will be £42.
My current contract should he £32 not £36 csn someone help me out please

VAT is only applied extra to business accounts.
The VAT element is already included in consumer accounts.
Your first bill is always a little higher though https://www.o2.co.uk/help/account-and-billing/your-bill

All contracts are subject to an increase on 1st April
This year it's RPI plus 3.9% = 17.3%

VAT on £32 would be £38.40 anyway, not £36.19
