Upgrading handset and buying new sim

Hi,

I would like to upgrade my handset and start a new pay monthly contract. I would also like to start a new SIM only contract so that my daughter can have my old handset. I cannot seem to do both of these in My O2 - when I have details of my handset upgrade in my basket and try to add a sim, the sim just replaces the new handset. Is there any way around this, or do I just need to buy the SIM as if I am a completely new customer without logging into My O2?

Thanks for any advice.

You need to do them separately

Then you need to add a contract, not upgrade @GP9

Thanks for the reply. Not sure what you mean by not upgrade though - is it not best for me to go through the upgrade process (as I am eligible for a handset upgrade) for myself? Then buy a SIM for my daughter as a separate transaction? Can I then link this to my existing account afterwards?
