Upgrades on poor credit score

 I'm nearing the end of my contract & eyeing the deals out there, however I've recently discovered I have a poor credit rating. I've been an O2 contract holder since 2006 & never missed payment but am now worried about my chances of getting an upgrade. Any thoughts/advice?

You don't get credit checked for upgrades if it's o2 to o2.
Only credit checks are for new contracts or upgrades taken elsewhere such as CPW etc.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Currently using:
Pixel 7a (O2 & Lyca), One Plus 6 (Sfr), iPhone 12 Pro Max (Vodafone)
