Unblocking phone Query

Not applicable
Hi I've asked o2 through the app to unlock my iPhone. This has gone through fine and said it can take up to ten working days.

I have a couple of questions

1) I'm guessing they send a text with an unlock code ?

2) if I decide I don't want to unlock phone after all can I just ignore the text?

3) if I've got my sim in a new phone (not the one I've asked to be unlocked). It won't do anything to the new phone will it?

You may as well unlock the phone you're not using. It will make it much easier to sell, should you choose to do that.

I DO NOT WORK FOR O2

It's an iphone so you won't get a code, it's unlocked by Apple on their system so you don't actually have the choice once Apple unlock.

You will get a message to say the phone is unlocked. The procedure after that is simply to put a non-o2 sim card in the phone as long as you are on the latest ios. Giffgaff and Tesco run on O2 so you will need one of the other network sims.

Connecting to iTunes will also complete the process.
