I'm not aware of any type of block that can do that, but looks like you should contact customer service  – message them on Social Media if that works best for you -on Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB) , Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) or call on 202 or 0344 809 0202

I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

O800 freephone numbers are not blocked by O2. More likely you have inadvertently put a bar on your handset

This is not O2 but a community forum made up of customers

If you want

Message O2 on
Facebook (https://o2uk.co/O2CFB
Twitter (https://o2uk.co/O2CTW) or Instagram (https://o2uk.co/O2CIG) , they should be able to help you.

This is not O2 and we are all customers here similar to yourself and cannot answer account type queries.

Not even possible on the handset is it?

Only unknown numbers that I am aware of.

If you report them as spam then it will block the number..

So would be worth checking in your spam / blocked calls on your phone @mwe01

O2 are blocking 0800s if you fail to pay your bill. O2 like to block a LOT of things if you don't pay your bill, even things that don't require you paying a bill to even have, it's outrageous.

Nope, they are blocking 0800 numbers, I have a block cause of a missed bill payment right now, all 0800s divert me to O2, they're actual scum

For reference, my Tesco sim card that's been sat in my phone without credit for YEARS will still let me call 0800s. So O2 want immediate payment or you can't call freephone numbers, meanwhile Tesco will let you call freephone numbers, even when you cancelled your contract.

If you fail to pay your bill then all calls are blocked.

Taking out a Direct Debit would prevent this type of scenario

@02aretheworst

So you are blaming o2 for blocking outgoing calls to 0800 numbers when you don't pay your bill, sounds like what nearly every other network does when you don't pay for your service, and the only block incoming calls, if you are delinquent for a while.. Even Tesco will cut off pay monthly sim if you don't pay your bills..

Just tried a 5 year old Tesco PAYM sim and guess what it doesn't let you call out to anyone as the contract was cancelled in fact the sim doesn't even pick up a signal, so you must have an old PAYG sim...

Also o2 are very clear if you don't top up or make chargeable calls they will deactivate your sim., may be clear what you are signing up for..

Sorry but simple answer  either topup or pay your bills...  and o2 don't provide a service for free no one does...
