Transfer number help

Hello, I've signed up for an O2 SIM only plan and I'm struggling to transfer my number from EE. I have a PAC from EE.

When I placed my order it said if I provide a PAC code then the transfer will happen automatically, which sounded good and easy. This didn't happen though. Since my SIM arrived last week I filled in an online form on the O2 website for the transfer, the form said the transfer would happen next working day, this was a few days ago and still hasn't happened.

I've tried to call O2 but unless I'm leaving or reporting a lost mobile the call hangs up, I've also tried the live chat on the app dozens of times but it just says 'nobody is available, try later'.

Is there any way I can speak to someone who can help? The amount of time I've spent trying to resolve this is frustrating. My EE contract renews tomorrow so I'm likely going to be charged for 2 contracts now which is frustrating. I didn't cancel the EE contract because I was told when the PAC code is used it acts as account closure.

Any advice would be appreciated.

@squarejoe

You have to keep perservering with O2 I'm afraid. All numbers in this guide

Guide: Coronavirus Community Help and Support

Advice from an O2 Guru regarding a way to get through:

If you call 202, when it comes to the reason you are calling, stay silent for 15 seconds and you will be taken to the keypad options.

Press 2 for Everything Else

Press 5 for More Options

Press 7 for Anything Else which will put you though to someone.

I was able to get through using the above number tree and my number should be transferred by tomorrow. I've just received a confirmation text too which is positive.

Thank you for taking the time to help slight_smile
