Above.
I needed a text with an OTAC this morning, I had to request it twice before I actually got the text with the code, this isn't unique to this morning either, quite often, important texts with OTAC codes and other stuff take ages to come.
OK yeah the signal here in Sheffield is rubbish most of the time, could that be why?

Speak to the Service provider that is sending the codes, as if you are requesting it twice before you get it, then its the SP's issue..
Signal is not rubbish in Sheffield at all, in fact its getting better, maybe its just where you are or the laws of physics when dealing with been in buildings..
Also learn to use the search function, its on the home page, as this has been asked so many times before

@madasaf1sh To be fair, up in High Green it's very remote, and the signal up there's terrible most of the time, even when I was at Fox Valley Shopping Park in Stocksbridge last week.

High Green is not in the slightest bit remote, its the same as every major suburb in Sheffield and nor is Fox Valley, my 2 o2 phones work perfectly in both locations..
Now if you mentioned Ughill or even Wigtwizzle then that is remote but not very remote, and o2 still works...

@madasaf1sh At the moment, I live in High Green, and frequently have about 2 bars if that on my signal, I have a Motorola Moto G5 (Android) phone on O2 contract.

Low signal will not cause text problems like those you describe. You need next to nothing in the way of signal to get a text through

My wife who is from there and has family still up there, just laughed when I told here you said it was really remote...
That sounds like an issue with your property... and 2 bars of signal means nothing as all manufacturers interpret signal strength in different ways?
Whats the actual attenuation in dB's ?? What Cells are you connected to?

Hence when you call MRT they send you a text for positioning rather than a phone call. as just one example...

@madasaf1sh Excuse my ignorance but what's MRT?

Thought you knew how to use Google?
