Text messages not being received

Hi, This started a couple of days ago (Monday 25th) and has plagued me since. I'm not receiving text messages to my phone while I'm at work. I don't know if it is affecting other incoming services but I can make calls and when I do any pending texts come in. When I'm at home it works OK (although was patchy on Tuesday night). I've checked the service status page and it says "Sorry a phone mast close to you isn't working" for both locations. However, there is nothing listed in the "Unexpected Issues" or "Planned Maintenance" tables about the masts near me. So is this likely to be an issue with the mast (I think so since my phone is OK at home) and if so is there any way to find out whether O2 know there is an issue and whether anything is being done to sort it? Thanks.

If there's a fault with the mast the service won't work properly, if at all.

If they didn't know there would be no report on the service status page.

It will be fixed as soon as possible.

Best advice is to reboot your phone and hopefully the texts will come through.

This is what I do.

It's because any working masts in your area will be carrying more capacity and struggling with the demand. It will rectify itself when the mast issue is fixed.
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

I regularly and frequently have this problem - I took my phone (Sony Experia Arc S) in to an O2 shop for one of the Gurus to have a look - I asked if it was likely to be the phone or the network, given that I had had similar problems with my previous Nokia as well.

He said in all liklihood it was the network at fault!

I thanked him for his honesty.

Installing the TuGo App has made a difference though.

Tugo has had its fair share of issues but certainly is a God's send to some.
