Tariffs

Hi I am currently on 900mins and unlimited texts and pay £36 per month. I won't be using the phone as much but when trying to change to a lower tariff it will only let me choose a higher one.

my contract ends in October this year having signed for a 24 month contract.

Any suggestions

regards

lee

Ah sorry, misread the question. No unfortunately you can't lower your tariff as it comes under the new tariffs issued after March 2011 and are for the full minimum term. Sorry:smileysad:

I would speak to customer service on 202.

As I understand it you are allowed to lower your tarriff by one tier midway through a pre March 2011 contract.

Well my contract started in October 2011 and ends October this year. Will I definitely be able to downgrade?

I'm sure that when I upgraded I was told I can downgrade after a set period!

No harm calling them, it's a free call anyway. I would advise against chat though, much better to speak to them.

I honestly thought March 2012 was the cut off not 2011? You can only downgrade once, so if you have already downgraded you won't be able to do it again. Based on the info you have given you should be able to drop one level which is usually £5 a month cheaper and obviously comes with less calls/mins/data (or combinations of).
I have no affiliation whatsoever with O2 or any subsidiary companies. Comments posted are entirely of my own opinion. This is not Customer Service so we are unable to help with account specific issues.

Too much sun and cheap Spanish plonk. I doesn't take much to confuse me nowadays. Yes, my original answer was indeed correct and March 2012 was the month it changed!Smiley Embarassed
